Javascript loaded with AJAX in HTML snippet not visible

When loading a portion of an HTML page that contains some Javascript,
the script is not visible in Firebug. Is this a Firebug issue or a
browser issue or possibly something else?

This test case works for me:

Does it work for you?
If the test case is not exactly what you do, please provide your own
test
case. If I can reproduce the problem I'll fix it.
