Hi Both,
I found this post whilst having a similar issue with firebug lite in IE10, and arguing with IE10's developer tools and on the fly changes. If it's still of any use to you...
Anyway, the reason the bookmarklet didn't work for me is that the function it creates calls a method from its declaration, IE didn't seem to like that. Fixed version:
javascript:(function()%7Bfunction%20firebug(F%2C%20i%2C%20r%2C%20e%2C%20b%2C%20u%2C%20g%2C%20L%2C%20I%2C%20T%2C%20E)%20%7Bif%20(F.getElementById(b))%20return%3BE%20%3D%20F%5Bi%20%2B%20'NS'%5D%20%26%26%20F.documentElement.namespaceURI%3BE%20%3D%20E%20%3F%20F%5Bi%20%2B%20'NS'%5D(E%2C%20'script')%20%3A%20F%5Bi%5D('script')%3BE%5Br%5D('id'%2C%20b)%3BE%5Br%5D('src'%2C%20I%20%2B%20g%20%2B%20T)%3BE%5Br%5D(b%2C%20u)%3B(F%5Be%5D('head')%5B0%5D%20%7C%7C%20F%5Be%5D('body')%5B0%5D).appendChild(E)%3BE%20%3D%20new%20Image%3BE%5Br%5D('src'%2C%20I%20%2B%20L)%3B%7Dfirebug(document%2C%20'createElement'%2C%20'setAttribute'%2C%20'getElementsByTagName'%2C%20'FirebugLite'%2C%20'4'%2C%20'firebug-lite.js'%2C%20'releases%2Flite%2Flatest%2Fskin%2Fxp%2Fsprite.png'%2C%20'https%3A%2F%2Fgetfirebug.com%2F'%2C%20'%23startOpened')%7D)()
Copy and paste the above into a bookmark ("Favorite") and name it what you like, if it doesn't work let me know.
The only other problem you may find is with internet options and security settings, minimize the amount of xss protection on the go, if nothing else works, check out developer tools look for issues about crossing domains, or violating protocols (https).
I fixed it by copying the bookmarklet code out from a bookmark, "JS Beautify" ing it, then running it in IE's near useless developer tools (in case you want to dig into it yourselves).
Cheers,
James

Hello,
I searched in the group for Internet Explorer 10 issues but didn't find a topic. So, short question, why does Firebug Lite not work in Internet Explorer 10 without switching to Compatibility View? F12 key at IE10 Standard Mode gives me the IE Developer Tools while Compatibility View brings up the Firebug Lite panel. Is that expected behavior?
