Cannot see HTTP responses for NON 200 http calls

Hi ,

I cannot inspect http responses from files that issue http codes other than 200,
for eg: error messages for 500 server error  or 401 authorization errors for ajax calls, and jsonp javascript calls.

I cant even copy the url which has failed to load.

Which version of Firefox and Firebug do you use? What does it mean you cannot inspect the responses? Can't you expand the requests, is the content of their tabs empty, or what? Where do you inspect them, within the Console or the Net panel?
Can you provide a test case with steps to reproduce your problem (and maybe a screenshot of what you see)?
