Firebug version: 1.6.2
I tried to find some kind of view that shows the local storage in
firebug (similar to the one in google chrome), but I am not able to
find any.
I guess the functionality is deeply hidden inside, if so where can i
find it, I mean which tab.
If not is there any alternative other.
I am currently using the console.log as a workaround.

Any help is appreciable. Thanks in advance.

The latest version of 1.6 is 1.6.0. There is no 1.6.2 version.

localStorage, globalStorage, and sessionStorage are all properties of
the |window| object. So you can see the storage easily by either
looking at the DOM panel which enumerates |window| or by using the
Console panel to type "localStorage" for example.

For anyone coming across this, try having a look at the FireStorage Plus! add-on for FireBug (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/firestorage-plus/)

Yep, it's great extension. I made a blog post about it here:
