I am a Tech Manager, not a developer; I use FireFox to help QA and to
check things like omniture traffic to test accounts look correct. I
don't think I'm an idiot, but if you have to condencend when providing
a simple solution (e.g., GUI, update to a specific file w/ location
spelt out, etc.), I'll take the heat. :)

I am running Firebug 1.2.0 on FireFox 3.0.1 on Mac running OS X
Version 10.5.4 (Leopard).

I love the tool, but, since the upgrade to Leopard and re-installing
Firebug, I can't figure out how to turn Firebug off short of disabling
it in Firefox>Tools>Add-ons. If I have it enabled, it pops up with
every page I navigate to.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

One fix that will almost certainly work is to install Firebug in a new
profile:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager
However this solution will also mean that other extension and
bookmarks will not be in the new profile. You can reinstall other
extensions in the new profile; you can run under the old profile,
export bookmarks, exit, run under the new profile, import bookmarks.
