I just installed Firebug 1.4a28 with FF 3.0.10, and the Command line
doesn't evaluate Javascript Statements, Error message:

Firebug cannot find _firebugConsole element true Window xxx.html

Any hints?

nice regards,

Franz

Please check your version number. 1.4a28 isn't a getfirebug.com
release yet.

I still have this problem in 1.4.0b4, which is the only release
available for Firefox 3.5.

Firebug 1.4b5 is available for Firefox 3.5, http://getfirebug.com/releases.

However it is unlikely that there is a difference between b4 an b5
regarding the command line.

If you post a test case we can take a look

It just happens whenever I have the Console enabled and I switch to
another tab. When I switch back to the tab with Console opened, that's
when it registers this error message.
