Hi!

I hope this is the right place to post. I've been a long time firebug user and I really appreciate the tool and the amount of effort it has saved me in debugging JavaScript.

I just wanted to point out that as of this release, I am no longer able to set any breakpoints whatsoever. I get the spinning wheel and then it just disappears. It doesn't matter what line I try this on or what script, it won't work anywhere. I tried resetting my firebug settings but that didn't fix it. Break on next is pretty much the only thing that still works to activate the debugger.

Has anyone else seen this?

Apologies if this is the wrong place to report the issue.

Thanks!
Alex.

Hello Alex,

First, thanks for your support!

Yes, that's the right place, except that it's better to create a new topic for this (or an existing new one). And could you provide your Firefox and Firebug version to help us investigate?

I suspect you face issue 7762.
So can you take a look at this page, explaining how to create a clean profile, and tell us if it helps: https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Install_Firebug_into_a_clean_profile

If that's a blocking issue (probably it is) and nothing helps, you may give Firebug.next a try, as a workaround.

Thanks in advance
Florent
