The problem I am facing is that when I go to another site, firebug opens in that too.
How am I going to turn off that feature-the one that permits firebug opening automatically whenever I go to another site.

I guess you're talking about Firebug Lite, right?
It should not open on any website you weren't before by default. What happens if you deactivate it for a website and then reload the page?
