Hello all,

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.2 (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; nl; rv:
1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070228 BonEcho/2.0.0.2) on Gentoo Linux (kernel 2.6).
Installing Firebug went fine, but afterwards it does... nothing. The
icon appears in the status bar but always shows the green "valid"
icon. Clicking the icon does nothing, right clicking it gives a menu,
but clicking "Allowed sites" does nothing as well. The same goes for
the menu items in the Tools>Firebug menu.

I tried this on a new Firefox profile, with a few more extensions such
as Del.icio.us, a combination that used to work before on another
system with Firefox 1 (and even after upgrading to Firefox 2).

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Dietrich. I had the same problem on Gentoo.
I exported bookmarks, killed ~/.mozilla dir and reemerged firefox with
`mozdevelop` USE flag on. It helped. Simple killing ~/.mozilla didn't
help. Not sure if the issue is resolved with USE flags, probably just
rebuilding could help.

Hello,

Thanks, remerging mozilla-firefox with the mozdevelop USE flag solved
the problem.
