Clear Activation List opens Firebug window

When I want to make sure that Firebug is completely off I click the FB icon and choose "Clear Activation List".
Since version 1.8.0 that opens the Firebug window which seems to be counter-productive.
Could that be changed back?

It is already changed back. See http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=4684.
This fix will be in 1.8.1.
