the best thing is....i haven't even installed it!!
but it's stopping my addons from running.

When Firebug is not installed, how can it stop your addons from running? And when it's installed, how do you know that it is stopping your addons from running?
Anyway, you can uninstall Firebug like any other Firefox Add-on via the Add-ons Manager available inside the Firefox menu. In the Add-ons Manager go to Extensions and click the Remove button besides the Firebug extension.
