Firebug resize gray area when docked at top only starting from Firefox 34.0 (works in 33.1.1) on fresh profile

Hello,
I've found a regression in Firebug UI handling and posted the full description and 100% repro test case (not sure if there's a way to make a test case file for a UI issue) on this bug report: https://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=7717

When docked at bottom or sides, it works correctly and the bug does not appear.

I'm not really familiar with XUL, so if anyone can come up with a userstyle or some workaround, would be greatly appreciated !
It is quite annoying and breaks my workflow. Thanks a lot :-)

Of course the simplest workaround is to attach Firebug to another side.
Besides temporary suggestions how to circumvent that bug let's keep the discussion in issue 7717.
