Firebug 2.0.15 fails in FF 30.0

Firebug just updated and the icon is gone...no way to use it. It is still installed, just not there.
Does not seem to be functional with the last version of firefox that is any good, 30.0., at least in my case.
Win 8.1
Neither 2.0.15 or 2.0.15b work. 2.0.14 works fine so once again I must shut off auto updates and load an old one so plugins don't updfate with stuff my version 30.0 obviously doesn't want or need.
