Textareas crash firebug 1.2.0b7 with firefox 3.0.1

Has anyone else run into this issue yet? It appears ANY textarea will
crash firefox 3.0.1 when firebug 1.2.0b7 is installed.

Crash as in Firefox exits and the crashreporter comes up?
If yes, please use url about:crashes to give us the URL of the crash
report.

The problem occurred only after installing Firebug firebug 1.2.0b7.
Firefox would either load the crashreporter or close silently. It
would crash as soon as a page with a textarea was loaded. I was just
curious to see if anyone else had this issue, or if it is just a local
installation problem. I am working on isolating the issue and will
give more details as soon as I get them.

I suggest you install Firebug in a clean Firefox profile. If that
succeeds, add your other extensions a few at a time.
