a6,a5 freeze when using FFb7

I love Firebug and think it is probably the most useful addon out
there. The problem I am having is when I try to load pretty much any
version into FF4b7 the addon hangs. I then have to load FF in safe
mode to disable Firebug and everything works fine. I haven't seen
anything about this, so I just wanted to see if this is a common
problem and Firebug needs a fix or a problem on my end.

If not, then try a clean profile and see if its better. See also

It is indeed a conflict between Scriptish and Firebug.......grrr two
of my most used extensions. Looks like I may be dropping back to b6
cause I didn't seem to have the problem with that version of FF.
Unless you have a better solution that is :).

This is no conflict between Scriptish and Firebug. This is just a bug
in Firefox 4.0b7 that breaks Firebug and happened to be discovered by
Scriptish devs first.

There is a workaround committed for the next Firebug release, 1.7a7.
