Hi,
I have been having trouble working with the Inspect feature of Firebug for a while now. I have been using 1.7.3 and assumed it is an incompatibility with Firefox 5 (which may very well be the case), so I upgraded to 1.8.0b5 which solved nothing. Essentially what is happening is this - I'm clicking on Inspect and instead of it activating and allowing me to move the mouse over the page and see the selection activated (inspected) it simply doesn't. It stays inactive and moving the mouse over the page does nothing. Is this a known incompatibility with Firefox 5? Should I open an issue for it?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Eugen.

It rather looks like a problem with your Firefox profile - the Inspect
feature works well on my machine (even with Firefox Nightly builds).

Try to create a new Firefox profile and install just Firebug in it (to
avoid collision with another extension)

You can also try to reset Firebug options. Firebug icon menu ->
Options -> Reset All Firebug Options.
