1.4.0a27 odd and unexpected tooltip

It seems that no matter where my cursor is in the firebug window, I'm
getting a large, pale yellow, tooltip-like window filled with
javascript.

xp sp2, ff 3.0.10 en-US

give me a place to send it, and I'll provide a screenshot.
It's really annoying, as it pops up this big window on top of
everything. My cursor can be anywhere below the tabs anywhere in the
detached fb window. I tried testing in the attached window, but it's
completely blank now, except for an "Edit" button.

I tried in a clean profile, and it doesn't happen.
I'm back in my default profile, and it doesn't happen any more. Maybe
it was a transient bug related to the upgrade?
While investigating this, I've found that once I detach the FB window,
the attached window doesn't function for that website. Even after
reloading the page. Detach again, an the detached window works fine.

Yes closing the external detached window puts Firebug in a funky
state. I'm working on that part.

same problem here: hovering over the firebug window shows an enormous
tooltip filled with javascript. Can't make a screenshot of it because
it disappears on any key click.
very annoying.

Please try Firebug 1.5a8, http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.5X
and let us know if this is fixed. Could be ;-).

We had another thread about this already, in which another guy described the same.
The simple fix for him was a restart.

Does that fix your problem?

If not, please install Firebug in a new profile and check if it's working there. If it's not working, please comment on the other thread because this one is already pretty old.
