Hi,

I just did a gbak backup/restore cycle om a large(ish) database, and
accidentally used the sysdba account during restore, resulting in sysdba
being the owner of the new database. It should be a different user.

Can it be changed somehow? Didn't find it using Google and not by
browsing ref manual or release notes...

(I assume I can change it by doing a second gbak/restore, using the
right user account for restore, but that means about half a day's
downtime for your services.)

Firebird 3.

Mvh,
Kjell

As far as I'm aware, restore is the only option to change the database
owner. Depending on why database ownership is important for you,
granting additional privileges to the intended owner might be a
workaround until you do have time to perform the backup and restore.
