Hello,

I am using FirebirdSQL 2.5.9.latest Win32.

Is it possible to use POST_EVENT not in a trigger but in application object calling a query to the database?

Thanks & Regards,
Ertan

Hi

You can post event from stored procedure, so yes.

EXECUTE BLOCK should work as well.

Hi,

I could not make it work EXECUTE BLOCK. Just wanted to provide feedback. Below is what I get using ISQL

SQL> set term ^;
SQL> execute block as post_event 'abc'; end^
Statement failed, SQLSTATE = 42000
Dynamic SQL Error
-SQL error code = -104
-Token unknown - line 1, column 18
-post_event

Did I miss something?

Thanks & Regards,
Ertan
