Hi,
I know its easy to install Firebird 3.x in CentOS 8.
But I have a legacy system that needs 2.5.x.
And today it is using CentOS 7, but I would like to know if is possible the upgrade to 8.

I can't answer your direct question, but after CentOS 8 was prematurely announced to be end of life'd at end of 2021, are you sure you want to do that? It will convert to CentOS stream which may not be well supported (who knows, but I personally won't be taking any chances). I know the Devs did post to the Telegram channel and recommended Ubuntu Server over CentOS 8 after the EOL announcement. You should be fine until end 2024 with CentOS 7 though.
