Isql utility from build 5.0.3.1683-0-e98c36b-windows-x64 crashes under windows7x64

Under windows 10pr0 640 works OK. 

Isql from 5.02 release under windows7x64 works fine.

  no error message, no log. Just show sql prompt and then exit. By the way size is twice more then for 5.0.2

What do you mean with "the size is twice more then for 5.0.2"? ISQL
(Windows x64) in 5.0.2 is 880 KiB, and 817 KiB in 5.0.3.

You definitely have ISQL not from official distribution package. Most likely
it includes debugging symbols. Install a JIT debugger and publish call stack
from the crash.

Did you use the published installer or zip file for 5.0.3.1683-0 from
https://firebirdsql.org/en/firebird-5-0/ (or
https://firebirdsql.org/en/firebird-5-0-3/?

Because, as I said, isql.exe of 5.0.3 is 817 KiB, which is 63 KiB
*smaller* than the one from 5.0.2, not twice as large.

It is a dayly build, may be I  got a a debug version by omission. But what bugs me - it works fine with Win10Pro, but is refusing to work under Win7. Nevertheless thank you for advice, I will try it.

Yes, it is obvious from the hash in the name. But build number is the same as
release so why you use it instead of the release is not clear.

I wonder if it is caused by the fix of
https://github.com/FirebirdSQL/firebird/issues/8524

That said, I'm not actually sure Firebird 5 is supposed to support
Windows 7.

  It is not crashes. It just exits silently. The problem is that on Win7 ReadConsoleW doesn't accept input buffer

of 64K wide characters. It was introduced by my fix for #8524 recently. I'm testing workaround.
