Which Firebird.conf settings has most effect on Backup (or restore) speed?

If trying to optimize the server settings, whats settings should we try first, and what would be good procedure to do so?

First of all you must find a bottleneck. Random search rarely helps.

For backup/restore start from running gbak with `-V -ST D` options to find
the longest operations.

DefaultDbCachePages and TempCacheLimit are the most important.

From Firebird 5, -parallel option is in vanilla Firebird.
