I can access my fb3 database using isql but not with dbeaver or c++builder. I get a can't access message. I also have another 5 databases that work OK. Any ideas?

Because ISQL works ok, this is rather question for DBeaver support. Firebird
itself doesn't have "can't access" message, it usually produce more useful error
texts describing what exactly went wrong.

What is the exact error message? Firebird doesn't use 'can't access' in
error messages, and as far as I'm aware, neither does DBeaver.

And how do you connect using ISQL? My guess is that you use ISQL with
only a path, so you aren't connecting through Firebird server, but in
embedded mode. When you use DBeaver, you connect through the server, and
the server doesn't have access to your folder.
