Hello.
How should we change the ServerMode in Firebird 3.0 after install? Is it enough to change mode in firebird.conf or we should use this script?
Best regards.

Are you sure? For the time being we were just changing ServerMode in firebird.conf, but I realised that when we install Firebird as SuperServer, it is installed as firebird-superserver on Linux.
When we change the mode to Classic Server, is it ok and natural that it still runs as firebird-SUPERSERVER? Then I thought that maybe running this script is recommended in such situations.
Best regards.

In FB3 it's better to use script - classic server is still started using xinetd. Since FB4 there is no need in changeServerMode.sh - changing firebird.conf and restarting is enough (and yes, classic server is started exactly like super). Script is kept for backward compatibility but marked as deprecated. SInce FB5 we will have no such script at all.

When I used script, following service was created:
firebird...@2-127.0.0.1:3050-127.0.0.1:39938.service
Is it ok?
