Hi,

Does anyone know if the FireDac that is in Delphi 10.4 is compatible with Firebird 4?

Regards.

Hello,

It does not support it. The next version, Delphi 11.1 or whatever they name it is advertised to have support for Firebird 4.0.

Thanks & Regards,
Ertan

Since FB 4 kept the legacy API, I guess you should not have problems if you don't use INT128 or any new FB 4 datatypes not supported by FireDAC. Even if you do, there are configuration parameters in fb.conf that you can use to "map" new datatypes to old ones (use with care).

Carlos, thank you very much for the answer. I'm going to try to migrate the database and see how the application behaves.

I have been using this combination without any issues for quite some time, but I am not using any of the new data types.
