Hi, we have a problem with Firebird 3.0. Lately when we install the Firebird client and create an ODBC connection we get the message "Username and password are not defined. Contact your adminstrator..." What could it be?

This is not an ODBC list. You can find appropriate one at https://www.firebirdsql.org/en/mailing-lists.

Hi Jiří,

I sent a post to firebird-odbc...@lists.sourceforge.net and alexpot...@users.sourceforge.netAre these the right people to contact?

I have noticed a change in the behavior of the ODBC driver when encrypting the password (due to a Windows update?). If that is the case, the development team would have to intervene.

Best regards
Stefan

No, Alex no longer maintains the ODBC driver. And
firebird-odbc...@lists.sourceforge.net is for
subscribing/unsubscribing, not for sending messages to that list (that
would be firebird-...@lists.sourceforge.net). However, that list
is rather silent for the past few years, you may want to consider
posting to https://github.com/FirebirdSQL/firebird-odbc-driver/issues
instead.

Report a bug on https://github.com/FirebirdSQL/firebird-odbc-driver/issues
