Is the SUPERSERVER_V2 definition still a thing?

In various places I see ifdef/ifndef SUPERSERVER_V2 around code, but it
seems it sometimes references code that doesn't even exist (unless I'm
bad at searching).

Is this define still a thing, or should the code that is inside such
ifdefs be removed?

Mark, V2 build definitely broken for ~20 years. But we kept that code
for a long time as a kind of reminder what places to be definitely
touched if we decide to implement this approach. Suppose it's better to
leave this places 'as is'.

OK, thanks. It does sound a bit odd to me to drag along nonfunctional code.

Isn't it sufficient to see this unmaintained code in v5 and older branches?

As for me it's OK. I've just repeated the answer I've got myself (do not
remember from who) when wanted to cleanup it in something like v3 or may
be even 2.5.
