Hi all, can anyone tell me how I can edit Auth users on the Firebase console?

I can "reset password", "disable account", "delete account", and "configure MFA".

I have seen others directly edit these users on YouTube as I want to be able to edit users and add custom claims.

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

Hi Phil,

I'm wondering if the users you have seen making these edits were using the Firebase Emulator UI which does allow direct edits to custom claims, however the production Firebase Console does not. To make the types of edits you are referring to in production the Admin SDK is the way to go.

Arthur.

Thanks Arthur for putting me out of my misery.  I have been searching everywhere to try and solve this issue.  Now I know not to worry.

Yes you are right it must have been the Auth Emulator they were using.  I used the Admin SDK and added admin privileges.

Really appreciate your help.
