I wrote a tutorial that sets up every Firestore feature in an Angular app, using AngularFire. 

You get the four CRUD (CREATE, READ, UPDATE, DELETE) operations plus OBSERVE to display realtime updates. Here's the link:

There were two things I couldn't figure out how to do with AngularFire. One unsubscribing a listener from a collection. (I show how to unsubscribe a listener from a document.) The other is making a custom type for documents or collections coming back from Firebase, i.e., not `any`.
