Hey yesterday, I did something really stupid. Like dumb. I thought I deleted an important collection from my production Firestore database, :(. It wasn’t a smart thing to do, but I realize the importance of redundancy. I see automated RTDB backups are ready but when is that coming to Firestore?

Hi Jeremy,

We just announced backup import/export support for Firestore at our Cloud NEXT conference.  These should be available for you to use very soon.  If you want to get an idea of how the system will work, it will be extremely similar to the current Datastore import/export flow.

Hey I got my hands on the Firebase export feature and I’m so happy that you guys remedied my problem so quickly. I can still use Firestore to service my production apps. The instructions that I used had a link to Google Cloud Shell, but the blue button leads me to API & Services, revising this, will make it easier for other users to get ready with the feature.
