Typescript typings for new Firebase

We are having difficulties updating to the new Firebase. We are using Angular 2 and Ionic 2. 

What is everyone doing for typings?

Have you checked out AngularFire2? It has TypeScript typings here. It is being updated to the Firebase 3.x.x SDK in this PR.
