Hi,

I would like to know which ports are used by Firebase Cloud Firestore and Firebase Cloud Messaging.

My use case: Android smart phone receives push notifications by FCM and queries data from Cloud Firestore. Some of my customers fail to connect to Firebase Cloud Firestore and open all communication ports in their firewall to get a working connection.

I would like to know which specific ports have to be whitelisted in addition to:
  1. Ports listed in https://debug-my.firebaseapp.com/
  2. whitelist domain:  *.googleapis.com
  3. https://firebase.google.com/docs/cloud-messaging/concept-options) (ports 5228 5229 5230 + 443)
Best regards,
Marko

Hi Marko,

Since we use data centers and load balancers, it's not possible to specify our services by IP address (those come and go daily). Please follow the FCM guide on endpoints, which it looks like you've already uncovered. Keep in mind that Android devices don't connect directly to endpoints, but route traffic through use Play Services.

☼, Kato
