Hello, I have been trying all day to set up firebase for a flutter project on Android Studio. I tried following the instructions online to set id("com.google.gms.google-services") version "4.4.1"
id("com.android.application")
but I always get the error:
Plugin [id: ''] was not found in any of the following sources:
I apologize because joining slack/google groups was a last resort. I have been changing the Gradle and JDK versions and I thought it was a compatibility issue but now I am not sure. How do I get a basic setup for firebase going. I just added the google-services.json file.
Thank you!

Hi,

I would recommend using the firebase and flutterfire CLIs, it will:

1. associate your app with your Firebase project
2. Download the correct config files
3. put them in the right place
4. Include the core Firebase dependencies in your flutter app.

good luck!
