Hi,

I watched the intro video on the homepage with the Swedish text update use case.

It seems to imply that all the text for my (Android and iOS) app can be stored in Remote Config instead of the common app ways like strings.xml in Android.

Is that true? Is putting all the text used by the app in Remote Config is something app use it for? Is it still free?

Thanks

Hi Rakesh,

You could do that if you want and it would be free! But I would not recommend it. Remote Config values are only available after you've connected to the internet which means your app would be broken if the user tried to use it offline or with a bad connection.

A better use case would be to store some one-time-use strings, like maybe for a marketing promotion, that change over time.
