Crashlytics - OOM crash

Hello,

My team is seeing some out-of-memory crashes in Crashlytics. We believe it's due to trying to send an unsent report that is too big on app launch. Examples from Google Play Console:

• com.google.firebase.encoders.json.JsonValueObjectEncoderContext.addjava.lang.OutOfMemoryError
  
• com.google.firebase.crashlytics.internal.persistence.CrashlyticsReportPersistence.readTextFilejava.lang.OutOfMemoryError
  
• com.google.firebase.crashlytics.internal.model.serialization.CrashlyticsReportJsonTransform.parseEventExecutionExceptionjava.lang.OutOfMemoryError
  
• com.google.firebase.encoders.json.JsonDataEncoderBuilder$1.encodejava.lang.OutOfMemoryError

Have you seen anything like this? Are there any recommended steps? Users are unable to recover from these. Unless they reinstall the app, it keeps crashing.

I was previously unaware of this issue. Please contact Firebase Support for help resolving this and look over relevant Github Issues to see what others have done and add some information to the discussion.

This one seems particularly relevant and may point to there being exogenous issues underlying the crash for those particular clients.
