The Case for Firebase in 2026

Gemini 3 and Claude Opus have finished out 2025 by earning real co-developer status in our workflows. But they're most effective in environments that have simplified as much operational complexity in the application layers as possible. If you're looking to build new apps, or add AI agents or realtime features to existing apps, you likely can't choose better than Firebase with Genkit and Firestore in 2026.
