Firebase SDK 3 auth signinwithpop auth/popup-closed-by-user error - AngularJS

Hi Guys,

I recently upgraded to Firebase 3 for my AngularJS app.

I am not using Angularfire as it still doesn't support Firebase 3.0

I used the web client Firebase initiate snippet.

Using firebase 3.0.0 from npm.

I am using signinwithPopup auth method with Facebook Auth Provider.

I tried this on both Chrome and firefox, the app triggers the auth popup with the progress bar and after sometime popup closes automatically,

I didn't close the popup and popup was not blocked by my browser.

 

After some delay i get the error message auth/popup-closed-by-user from the error callback

AngularFire 2.x.x was released last week with support for the Firebase 3.x.x SDK. I'd suggest using that. Otherwise, please provide a repro in JSFiddle or Plunkr so we can help you debug.

Hey Karthik,

Try using the latest firebase version 3.0.3+. Are you getting any other errors in the console? Are you running this in a desktop environment or from a mobile device? These details would be very helpful to debug.

This error is typically thrown if you try to sign in with popup and close the popup before it completes.
