Web app and Android app with the same database

Hi all,

I`m kind of new to Firebase so I guess my question is quite basic:

Can you use firebase to build a database and edit it both in a website and android apps?

If you go to the samples page in the Firebase documentation, you will find a so-called quickstart for the Realtime Database that is available for iOS, Web and Android.

If you scroll further down, we have an elaborate sample app called FriendlyPix that is available for iOS, Web and Android too. This app is quite involved, so I highly recommend starting with the quickstart and by reading out documentation.

Both these apps share the same database across all platforms.

The database works very similar across all platforms, so once you've gotten to grips with it on one platform, you can typically move much faster on the next platform.
