Hey everyone,

I have feature idea;

What about a switch allowing to toggle 'production mode' in Firebase that would change the color theme and (maybe) add extra verification to prevent some manipulation errors.

I'm constantly switching between production and development projects and since the sole indicator is the project name, well, things like breaking a production DB can be quite a problem.

On another note, do you guys have any way to avoid those type of errors (faulty deploys / DB override) ?

That's pretty slick. I'd love to see a production mode "toggle" ability implemented into the console & CLI. Maybe a low-priority stretch goal for the Firebase team to add to their list? Speaking of lists- you should mention this on the ongoing 2019 developer wishlist thread.

Thanks Will ! I posted it on the wishlist, hopefully it can get some attention, but I know it's definitely a long shot.

Hey FWIW, I did this with the Google Cloud Console by writing a chrome extension to inject CSS based on the URL. It's honestly a pretty simple chrome extension once you figure out the style :) I'd encourage you to give that a shot as I'm not sure if we'll be able to prioritize this.

Hey Tyler,

That sounds great! Problem is; I can't seem to find it... I've looked in the Chrome extension store, on your github and Google of course.
I don't know where else to look for it :/

Thanks!
