Has any one tried LinkedIn Custom Login or any other OAuth/OAuth 2 Custom Login with Firebase?

I have been trying to use LinkedIn Custom Login using third party service - OAuth.io . But it stores access token as child of firebase ID. But I don't get auth payload using which firebase can be accessed.

Also, would like to know if Firebase is going to release LinkedIn login in near future.

Hi Tanmay,

Your best bet would be to use your own authentication server with a software like PassportLogin which abstracts away a ton of tedious work and is designed to work out of the box with Firebase. It even includes LinkedIn as one of the example services!

I got Auth0 to work, meaning I can login. I can't quite figure out how that auth0 authentication integrates with firebase though. How do I use my auth0 login in the security rules?

You would leverage the token based authentication to get it working.

Yeah, I checked it out, the examples provided don't actually work (some nesting issue with the javascript that I haven't been able to figure out) and the code demo that they provide is not applicable. It is coded differently than the examples provided.
