Hello,
When will Firebase Admin SDK implement an interface for sending XMPP messages to FCM? Thanks in advance.

I don't think there are any current plans to do so. See https://github.com/firebase/firebase-admin-node/issues

+Kato Richardson is right here. Going forward new features will be focused on the HTTP v1 API. The legacy API and XMPP API will receive new features.

Did you mean to write 'XMPP API will receive 'no' new features'?
The only way to receive upstream messages from the Google Cloud to the app server for Firebase Cloud Messaging is via XMPP. Does this mean the Firebase Admin SDK will never support upstream notification messages?

The ADMIN SDK will not support XMPP. The FCM team is exploring other ways of providing upstream messages for example via HTTP 2. However these are works in progress so I can't give a commitment. Note however that XMPP is still supported so you can still use it but ADMIN SDK support is not likely.
