Firebase hosting with Webpack and React

I am currently using webpack before running my server to bundle my react web app into my index.html file. However, when I do firebase serve it does not bundle the contents and I just get a blank screen. Does anyone have any ideas regarding combining firebase hosting and webpack? Thanks

I'm guessing you'll find some errors in the JavaScript console or elsewhere.
