We have deployed an app where we send an invite email containing a Firebase Dynamic Link to get the user onboarded. Upon clicking the link, the user should...
1. Be directed to the App Store to install the app.
2. Upon opening the app, the user should be logged in automatically.
Based on the latest changes to the Firebase SDK (to comply with Apple's new policy), #2 no longer works, since all of the links passed to the app after install are now "Weak" and can't be trusted to authentication the end user.
As a workaround to this, we have asked users to go back and click on the link from the invite email again after installing the app, which then results in a "Strong" link. However, we are getting reports that some users are still being directed to the app store even after the app is already installed.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce, even when testing with a broad range of mail clients and web browsers.
Thank you,
Doug
