Hi Saloni,

Check out Cloud Functions and related DB triggers for Firestore and Realtime Database. You should be able to work something out using those.

Yes, this is totally possible through Cloud Functions, in fact, there is a functional example in the Github page (is called Send confirmation Emails with Cloud Functions).
