Hi there, I would like to check if we can know if FCM push is successfully delivered from the API?

Hi Fan,

In the simple case no. The FCM API can only confirm that the message request was successfully delivered to the FCM servers.

To understand the delivery status of the message you will have to use something like Google Analytics and/or BigQuery Export. If you have Google Analytics enabled on the client you will get some level of delivery metrics in the Firebase console. For the most insightful understanding of delivery status use BigQuery Export in combination with Google Analytics.

Hi Arthur,

Thanks for your suggestions. But I think when an app or browser is running in the backend, there is no way for GA to capture whether a push notification has arrived or not. Thus, we are not able to capture the conversion rate from server push to push delivery, nor are we able to capture the conversion rate from push delivery to push click.
