need help on 'firebase import of javascript not working in firebase emulator'

In this project I am calling the javascript file stored in different folder, it works in vscode > live server, but fails in firebase emulator

where am i going wrong

do i need to make changes in firebase.json file > in hosting section

kindly suggest

asked the same on stack overflow got no response as of yet
