Unknown error when trying to go to Firebase console

I log in Firebase with the google account I desire. Login is fine.

Then I hit the "Go to console" button on the top right, the page appears to load for a second or two and then I get this message:

There was an unknown error while processing the request. Try again.Try again

if I open dev tools - >console the latest error is

GET about:blank net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME     m=console_main:2133

I tried logging off all Google account and logging on with just the account I want.

I tried using a different account (that has access to the projects I am interested in) 

I tried deleting all firebase related cookies 

No result. Can somebody suggest something else to try?

If you can reproduce the problem in Incognito or Private Browsing, then reach out to support. If not, it's likely an extension or caching.

Thank you Kato.

I ended up restarting the computer before trying it in incognito more. It worked fine after the restart. 

So I had some corrupt state, not related to cookies. Not sure what it was.
