Realtime Database Console Shows Empty Database and Unable to Load Your Rules Errors

My database console stopped showing data.  The database is populated and I am able to save and retrieve data but the console just simply shows an empty database.  As well the rules tab just displays the error "Unable to load your rules".

Please advise.

Database rules are loading fine now but the console still shows my populated database as empty.
