description:

currently we have some analytical firebase events that we want to get the raw data.

i read some documentation that mention we can get the raw data by exporting it to firestore/bigquery.

problem is in my organization, we just get started to use firebase/gcp account and we want to use as little as possible services in there, so if someday the services (firestore, bigquery, etc) get decommission it will not affecting our pipeline.

question:

so my question is is it possible to get firebase analytics raw events data directly, like via API / accessing directly to firebase database that store raw events data?

any advise that can help from my use case is also welcome.

Hi,

I think you are looking for the BigQuery API. It will allow you to programmatically interact with BigQuery data.

If I understand the terms and privacy policies correctly, then Google Analytics does not store raw data longer than it takes to process and generate the aggregated reports.

When you enable exports to BigQuery, you are asking Google to store the raw data in an interface that you control, and you are responsible for its usage and privacy protection. So this is the appropriate API endpoint for this sort of activity and there is no alternative.
