Firebase Analytics and Custom dimensions in GA4

Hi,

I am experiencing some trouble to use Firebase Analytics event custom parameters as custom dimensions in GA4. 

I have a "play" event with a parameter called "new" which can 0 or 1 depending it is a new game or continuing an existing one. No rocket science.

Using the debug view, i see the event coming in with the correct parameter value. 

I have created a custom dimension based on this "new" parameter. All good

But when i want to filter event (in the exploration view) based on this dimension, it says that "no data is currently available for this dimension"

I have waited for more than a week. Looked at all the tutorials, stackoverflow messages. But this is still not working.

Any help is really really appreciated.
